Billy O'Brien and Hemlock Theory are back with their sophomore album, recorded and mixed at the Ashwood Media studio and mastered by our good friend Matt Stretz.
Party at the End of the World is composed of two sections: Tracks 1-5 is a throwback to the Tension LP, only faster and heavier. Two political punk tracks, a groovy rock track, a keys-driven instrumental, and a cataclysmic finale. This is the PatEotW Pentalogy, a unified narrative of the planet's decadence, destruction, and possible redemption. Tracks 6-10 are more adventurous, with bigger dynamic changes, and more varied production approaches. Instead of building on the past, this half has the band looking to the future, or at least to possible futures.
